Gresham's Law will rule again. Pretty soon chucky cheese tokens will be worth more than US coins. Just another good reason to keep hoarding nickels and LC's.

I'm actually surprised they haven't already changed the composition of the cent and nickel. It's only a matter of time until they do, so get your fill of nickels and cents now before they stop making them!

Gee, it took us 200 years to get from ZERO to the first USA trillion - (back in1976 - gold free'd up in 1974 ish) - now were pushing over 18 trillion - soon to be 28 trillion. It was almost 2 trillion in 1980 USA when gold hit $887.50 with geo-political and govy screw-ups.

Now at nine times that (18 trillion) with an expected 10 to 50 trillion more for ENTITLEMENTS I really hope we all have enough gold and silver for trading/exchanging/living in the re-do age...

Not yet, however if Obama can find a way to associate cent and nickel production with the "fat cat bankers" rest assured he will talk about stopping production ad nauseum without actually stopping.

I think a new currency will be in place before any changes in penny's and nickels take place.

I still believe in stacking bags of nickels, however.
